Bono, Here I Come

Wednesday marks an exciting journey as I begin my travels overseas with fellow Mount Olive College faculty/staff and honors students to Ireland.
When I first heard we were going there, I was slightly disappointed. We were originally set to go to Egypt, but our plans were revamped due to the uprising. I had built up this image in my head of pretending I would be like Brendan Fraser as I explored the pyramids and galloped across the Sahara on camelback. Oh well, I guess a camel ride at the NC Pickle Festival will have to do (http://youtu.be/-voBqbabot4).
As this week has drawn near, I have become truly excited about going on the trip. I’ve spent the past month exploring some of the sights we’ll be at on google street view. I highly recommend this to anyone who plans to travel! Here is one of the spots I’m particularly stoked about seeing at the corner of St. Stephen’s Green and Grafton Street:

I’m looking forward to the many sights and opportunities that this country has to offer. Over the coming week, get ready to witness Ireland through my eyes. Enjoy :)
